Spurs are keeping a close eye on rejuvenated Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra, according to reports.
The 31-year-old spent around 10-months in footballing limbo after being sacked by Lokomotiv Moscow in August 2014, but he’s been a big hit since coming back into the game with l’OM ahead of the current season.
In fact, the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder has been so impressive that he’s now back in the France squad and looks on course to travel to EURO 2016, and talkSPORT (citing France Football) claim that his rise has alerted Spurs.
The enforcer is contracted to Marseille until 2019, but Tottenham are looking at a summer move for him as they prepare for a season in the Champions League.
Diarra would be noticeably cheaper than other names to have been linked with the London club given his advancing years.
The 33-cap Les Bleus man’s career has been a nomadic one, which has seen him play for Le Havre, Arsenal, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Real Madrid, Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv and Marseille.
