Spurs’ third summer signing? EURO 2016 winner on Poch’s radar, Everton have enquired

Spurs are interested in Portuguese EURO 2016 winner Adrien Silva, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to add him to his squad before the close of the transfer window, according to reports from L’Equipe.

The 27-year-old plies his trade at club-level with Sporting CP, where he’s regarded as a key player.

Although not one of the standout names in Portugal’s European Championship success, the silky midfielder started four of his nation’s seven games and impressed along the way in France.

And L’Equipe reveal that he’s attracted Pochettino’s interest at Spurs, with the Argentine keen to snap him up before the close of the window.

The report, which also claims that Everton have enquired about his services in recent weeks, suggests that ‘Poch’ wants to add Silva to his ranks, but that in order to do so he’ll need to move players on, suggesting that any potential deal will be closer to Deadline Day than now.

Spurs have endured a quiet summer on the transfer front, with only Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama signed up, although a deal for Nicolas N’Koudou is thought to be close.
