Spurs to follow Janssen deal with £25m striker swoop after Euro 2016

According to reports from The Times, Tottenham Hotspur are confident they’ll seal a transfer deal for Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi after Euro 2016.

The Lilywhites scouted the 22-year-old extensively throughout a 2015/16 campaign that saw him bag 17 goals and nine assists in 36 Ligue 1 appearances for the mid-table side.

Batshuayi is now on international duty with Belgium, so it appears any deal to bring him to White Hart Lane – likely at a cost of £25million or more – will have to be concluded after the Red Devils’ involvement in Euro 2016 comes to an end.

And according to The Times, Spurs want to sign the former Standard Liege star in addition to Vincent Janssen, who has been heavily linked with the north London club in recent weeks.

Sky Sports claim Tottenham are in talks with the AZ Alkmaar striker, who finished last season as the Eredivisie’s top scorer with 27 goals in 34 appearances – as well as four assists.
