Christian Eriksen’s future at Spurs has been plunged into doubt after his agent refused to rule out a move away from the club for his client.
The Danish playmaker has been at White Hart Lane for two years following his arrival from Ajax, and has been, arguably, the most successful purchase of the post-Gareth Bale mega spend in North London.
Eriksen is a regular under Mauricio Pochettino and a fans’ favourite, but his future has been the subject of some debate of late.
Italian giants Juventus are reportedly looking at the silky passer following the exits of key players such as Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal, and the 23-year-old’s agent, Martin Schoots, has confessed that, although the midfielder is happy now, the situation could change at any time:
“I never speak about specific clubs but we know that very bid clubs were after Christian since he was 14 years old,” He is quoted by Metro.
“Christian is now happy to be at Spurs but you never know what happens tomorrow.’
Alongside Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris, Eriksen is considered to be one of the most important players at Spurs, and the club are likely to fight to keep him.
