Tottenham Hotspur youngster Josh Onomah is a major target for Championship club Sheffield Wednesday this summer, per Football Insider.
The report claims that Wednesday are confident of securing a deal to sign Onomah in this transfer window, having taken the attacking midfielder on loan for the duration of last season.
The 22-year-old has spent the previous two campaigns out on loan, playing for Aston Villa in 2017/18, and Football Insider state that he is keen on a permanent move to Hillsborough.
The two clubs have yet to agree a deal, however, with Spurs said to be waiting until players return for pre-season training before sanctioning any departures.
Onomah’s current contract expires in 2021.

Onomah just hasn’t lived up to his potential at Spurs.
A wiry attacking midfield player, he has made more than 30 appearances for the club but has played just 13 times in the Premier League; he has never once completed the 90 minutes.
Indeed, his longest appearance in a Spurs shirt in the top-flight came in 2016, when he played 45 minutes of the club’s humiliating final-day 5-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
He last kicked a ball in the Premier League for the club in 2017, playing two minutes against Watford.
He has been capped at various England youth levels and came through the club’s academy – one has to assume that hopes at the club were high for him – but now appears to be the time to say goodbye.
Age is still on his side at 22, and if he completes his move to Wednesday he may be able to resuscitate a career that is in danger of flat-lining.
