According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing AC Milan defender Davide Calabria.

What's the word, then?

Well, according to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham are open to offers for both Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier in this summer's transfer window.

Trippier has found it difficult to produce his best form for Spurs this season, whilst Aurier has largely struggled since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham keen on Calabria, but face competition from Manchester United, who are also in desperate need of a new right-back ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.

Calabria came through the youth system at Milan and has made 84 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions.

The 22-year-old has a contract at the San Siro until June 2022, but could be enticed to the Premier League in this summer's transfer window.

What is happening at right-back for Tottenham?

On paper, Aurier should have been a wonderful signing for Tottenham, but it has just not worked out for the Ivory Coast international.

Trippier, meanwhile, was impressive for Spurs last season and had an outstanding 2018 World Cup for England, inspiring the Three Lions to the semi-finals.

The 28-year-old has fallen short this term, though, and struggled badly against Manchester City in the second leg of Tottenham's Champions League quarter-final at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. The timing feels right for Spurs to move the player on, having seemingly now surpassed his peak.

Calabria - valued at £18m by Transfermarkt - is an intelligent, ball-playing full-back, who has made 32 appearances for Milan during the 2018-19 campaign.

It is unlikely that Tottenham would have to break the bank for the Italian and he should be a priority signing in this summer's transfer window, with the England man passing him by on the way out.
