Fernando Llorente had to wait until the 82nd minute of the 2019 Champions League final before being introduced.

The forward replaced Dele Alli late on as Tottenham Hotspur looked to turn things around against Premier League rivals Liverpool.

However, as it transpired, Jurgen Klopp's side went on to score a second through Divock Origi to win the European Cup courtesy of a 2-0 success.

Llorente has not exactly had the best of times at Tottenham.

However, the 34-year-old ended the 2018-19 campaign with eight goals in 35 appearances, which is not exactly disastrous.

And there is no question that the 24-time Spain international played his part in Tottenham's run to the final of the Champions League, scoring against Manchester City and helping inspire the second-half comeback over Ajax in Amsterdam.

Llorente could now move on this summer in search of pastures new with his contract due to expire.

And it would be fair to say that the Spurs supporters are grateful for the 6 foot 4 striker's contribution throughout the season.
