Find Jake Livemore a new home

Jake Livermore, Tottenham Hotspur

The prospect of shipping out one of the few youth products to break into the first team in recent years at White Hart Lane isn’t one that does much for the heartstrings but for as sad as it may be to part with Jake Livermore, it’s an unfortunate necessity.

Despite a breakthrough season that saw the 23-year-old make 24 appearances in the league for Spurs, earning himself a debut cap for his country in the process, it’s difficult to see how the Enfield-born star really has a future in Andre Villas-Boas’ plans.

A move away could be the best option for all involved. For Livermore, having proved his ability to cut it at the top level, a move to another Premier League club offers him a great chance to naturally progress in an already promising career while Spurs free up some more funds on a player that cost them nothing to attain.
