Premier League action returns this weekend following the international break, and the standout fixture in Week 13 sees Tottenham Hotspur welcome Chelsea.

Harry Kane will be key to Tottenham's chances of picking up all three points this weekend, but the centre-forward does not have the best of records against the Blues.

The Chalkboard

Kane has managed a wonderful 150 goals in 229 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions, with 114 of those strikes coming in the Premier League.

Just three of those 114 have come against Chelsea in the top flight, however, with the forward not enjoying the best of records against the Blues.

Indeed, Kane has been involved in seven Premier League matches with Chelsea, winning three, drawing two and losing three.

Kane absolutely loves playing against Leicester City - netting 11 times against the Foxes - but Chelsea have proved a tough nut to crack, and Tottenham have actually won just two of the last eight meetings between the capital rivals in all competitions.

There will once again be pressure on Kane to score the goals for Spurs this weekend, but it will be tough against a well-drilled Chelsea outfit.

Kane must breach tight defence

On paper, there are better defences than Chelsea in the Premier League. The facts, however, tell us that only Manchester City and Liverpool have conceded fewer times in the top flight this season.

Indeed, Maurizio Sarri's team have shipped just eight goals in their 12 matches, and sit one point and one position above fourth-placed Tottenham in the Premier League table.

Kane will have to get the better of the likes of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz if he is to find the back of the net this weekend.

The 25-year-old should be full of beans, however, having scored the goal that helped England reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League.

Kane has also netted 10 times in 16 appearances for Tottenham this season, and will be desperate to add to his six league strikes for the 2018-19 campaign on Saturday.
