As far as stories go, Harry Kane’s rise last season is in the fairytale realm.
From a squad player facing a somewhat uncertain future at White Hart Lane, the 21-year-old climbed majestically to become the focal point of Spurs’ attack and one of English football’s deadliest strikers – with a mix of hard work, grit and, of course, talent getting him to the pinnacle of the game.
His 31 goals across the campaign capped what was a genuinely stunning season in which Kane also earned recognition on the international stage with England – he netted just minutes into his debut against Lithuania – and even pulled on the captain’s armband in the absence of some senior teammates at club level.
As such, this starlet is really becoming the face of a young generation of English talent… and that face may well make it onto the cover of EA SPORTS’ FIFA 16 alongside Lionel Messi – what a frontline that would be!
