The FIVE Tottenham players to be utilised for emergency loans?

With all the hype surrounding the slamming shut of the summer transfer window, it would be easy to think that was it for business up until January.

However, from Wednesday Championship, League One and League Two sides have the chance to bolster their ranks with ‘emergency’ loan signings. Many have taken the opportunity to loan players with a view to a permanent deal in this time. Even though the term ‘emergency’ is used, league officials are highly lenient with the nature of deals and effectively clubs in the second tier and below use this period as an opportunity to reinforce their squad without the hassle of transfer fees.

The reality is Premier League clubs want their players to be out there with competitive game experience- not plundering about in the under 21 league, no matter how much the Premier League hierarchy wish to dress it up. Similarly, Championship teams and below want to add the type of quality to their squad which they probably couldn’t do financially on transfer fees alone. A few games into the season managers also have a better idea of what they do and don’t need.

With this in mind, here are five Tottenham players that Championship clubs should be having a look at in the next few days.
