The FIVE ‘transfer replacements’ for Tottenham to consider

Gareth Bale Tottenham midfielderAfter being described as the best player on the planet behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, it’s little wonder that Europe’s biggest clubs are all looking at Gareth Bale.

The pacey Welshman has been in fine for Tottenham since the turn of the year, almost single-handedly dragging them up the Premier League table and into contention for a Champions League place.

His importance to the team has led to speculation that the north Londoners will double his wages to keep him at White Hart Lane, yet speculation of a £50m+ move just wont go away.

It may be an unpopular decision with the fans, but with Real Madrid circling, Spurs may decide to sell the 23-year-old whilst his stock is at its very highest.

If they do elect to do so a replacement will be needed if the club are to continue to compete domestically.

So, if you’re reading this Andre Villas-Boas and Daniel Levy, here are five players who could replace Bale.
