Tottenham Hotspur host Chelsea on Wednesday night knowing that a win not only closes the gap on Chelsea to seven points but also that they'd leapfrog Man City and move into a Champions League qualification position.

Spurs have won their last four on the bounce since a defeat at Old Trafford in December, looking like they're hitting top form again at exactly the right time.

They're unbeaten at home to Chelsea in their last three so despite the Blues' incredible winning run, they won't fear the visit of Antonio Conte and his team.

Ending the winning streak of Conte's team in front of the White Hart Lane faithful is a tantalising prospect and we're expecting an exciting, charged game to compliment a big atmosphere.

Can Spurs make it five in a row and ruin Chelsea's dream of breaking records?

This is the Pochettino XI we think can pick up the win against the Blues...

GK: Hugo Lloris

Spurs have only kept two clean sheets since October but Lloris has made important saves along the way, so it's not been entirely down to him.

The French goalkeeper is still one of the best 'keepers not just in the Premier League but Europe in general and seems to save his best work for the big games.

That's exactly what Wednesday night is and we're expecting him to be heavily involved if Spurs are to get a result.

RB: Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker has been in exceptional form in recent games for Spurs. Given license to get further forward than earlier in the season, he's relishing his more attacking role and notched assists against both Burnley and Hull in December.

He'll likely revert to a more defensive role against Chelsea given the threat of Marcos Alonso and Eden Hazard on the Blues' left hand side. It's going to require a massive performance to keep those two quiet.

After missing the last outing because of suspension, he should be fresh and ready for the challenge ahead.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

Toby Alderweireld must play well on Wednesday night or Chelsea will win. It's a bold statement but there's simply no room for error against the likes of Diego Costa.

Alderweireld has struggled with fitness and form at times in the Spurs defence this season but does have the ability to step up and put in a good performance in a big game.

The big defender hasn't had a truly standout performance since October in the 2-0 victory over Manchester City but showed that day he has capability to keep strikers of Sergio Aguero's quality quiet.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Jan Vertonghen has definitely been the more consistent of Spurs' two Belgian central defenders this term and like Kyle Walker should return to the starting line-up after missing the Watford game because of suspension.

The defender has played a key part in recent wins over Burnley, Southampton and Hull. Spurs fans will have full confidence in him doing the job against Costa.

LB: Danny Rose

Another full-back in excellent form, Danny Rose has been unplayable at times in December. The defender managed to contribute three assists and a goal in the space of 5 matches last month.

He looked great against Watford too, given a wing-back role slightly further forward in the Spurs system.

Spurs' wide players seem to be the key to their success recently and that could ring true again against Chelsea.

CM: Victor Wanyama

Victor Wanyama faces one of his toughest tests of the season with the visit of Chelsea. Not only does Chelsea's midfield offer a significant attacking threat, but he must also go to battle with the tireless N'Golo Kante.

Wanyama has the physical attributes required to dominate most midfields in the Premier League but must hit new heights on Wednesday night. Whoever controls the midfield will win the game and Wanyama must ensure he's not overwhelmed by the opposition.

CM: Mousa Dembele

Mousa Dembele seems to have his best games in tight, cagey affairs. He's the type of player who can keep his composure and raise his game when the middle of the park turns into a war zone.

We reckon Wednesday night's clash may be a bit more open than that so Spurs fans will be hoping the game doesn't pass him by.

He is a big-match player though and on his day can be the best on the pitch. His finest performance of the season was arguably away to Arsenal at the Emirates in a 1-1 draw.

AMR: Moussa Sissoko

With Erik Lamela likely to miss the Chelsea encounter with a hip problem, the attacking responsibility on the right-hand side will likely fall to Moussa Sissoko.

With just six Premier League starts this season, he's not had as regular game-time as he'd like but has been an effective option off the bench.

He made an impact in both the Swansea and Burnley home games in December, providing assists from the bench.

AM: Dele Alli

So impressive on his arrival at the club in season 2015/16, Dele Alli has stepped up another level in the first half of this campaign.

The attacking midfielder has been in frankly ridiculous form over the last month, scoring six goals in six games. Five of them have come in the last three.

He has the opportunity to make himself an even bigger hero with the White Hart Lane support on Wednesday and is Spurs' key threat against Chelsea.

If Spurs can bring Dele into the game then they have every chance of getting a result.

AML: Christian Eriksen

Eriksen has probably been Spurs' most consistent player across the first half of the season. He's been in particularly good form since late November, scoring five goals and providing three assists in eight games.

It doesn't get much better than that.

Up against Chelsea's back three, it will be a lot tougher to make an impact. But Eriksen is one of the few players who can produce moments of genuine magic from either of the flanks, from distance or in the box.

ST: Harry Kane

With twelve goals in seventeen appearances this season, Harry Kane is just as reliable as ever leading the Spurs attack.

He was in lethal form on New Year's Day, scoring twice and assisting another in the 4-1 thrashing of Watford.

The English international is at peak form and along with Dele and Eriksen will be the player that Chelsea fear most on Wednesday night.
