After two months of failing to record a single victory in all competitions, Tottenham look to have turned their season around as they continue to mount a challenge for the Premier League title.

But they're still lingering behind the division's top dogs and this Sunday, Burnley travel to White Hart Lane hoping to put a further dent in the north London club's title charge.

Indeed, Spurs have won two of their last three games but still find themselves ten points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino must mastermind another home victory and continue his side's winning run to have any chance of rivalling the Blues this season.

Worryingly for Burnley, Tottenham have not lost a home game all season - an incredibly impressive record at this point in the campaign - and have not been beaten by a bottom half team at White Hart Lane since 2015.

With three points required for Burnley to continue their survival push, Spurs must be wary of the Tykes on the counterattack. To ensure victory for Tottenham, Pochettino must pick this starting XI.

GK: Hugo Lloris

During Spurs' incredibly poor form in October and November, Lloris remained the one consistent performer for the Lilywhites.

Lloris continued to captain the side during that period, and he must marshal his defence against Burnley to ensure he keeps a third successive home clean sheet.

Burnley are going to test Lloris but Spurs will feel confident they can rely on the French international when called into action.

RB: Kyle Walker

Walker's impact on the match could be a decisive factor in Tottenham claiming all three points against their Lancashire opponents.

With Burnley expected to set up in a defensive manner, Walker's pace and urgency could find gaps behind their well-organised backline.

Likewise, they'll allow Walker room to push up and join the attack - it's just a case of whether he can provide that cutting edge.

CB: Toby Alderweireld

Toby Alderweireld

Is it just a coincidence that Toby Alderweireld returns for the Lilywhites and all of a sudden, the team appeared to have regained its defensive solidity?

Alderweireld must contain the powerful Sam Vokes to make sure the team can muster up another comprehensive home victory.

The Belgian international is crucial to Spurs' title charge.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

The partnership of Vertonghen and Alderweireld looks to have rediscovered its best form following the latter's return from injury.

Vertonghen must continue in the same vein of form with a composed and solid defensive display. Burnley may have managed just one goal on the road this season but complacency could cost Spurs dearly against Sean Dyche's side.

LB: Danny Rose

Danny Rose v Everton

There's not many, if any, better left-backs in world football than Danny Rose. The trust between the player and coach is clear to see, and the England international continues to impress at White Hart Lane.

Like Walker, Rose could be decisive for Tottenham as his pace and attacking threat could stretch an overtly compact Burnley side.

CM: Victor Wanyama

Victor Wanyama's performance against Man City

Kenya international Wanyama continues to impress following his move from Southampton in the summer.

Wanyama has regularly contained some of the league's best player this season and he must continue his solidity once again against Burnley.

Goals have been added to Wanyama's game recently - a welcome bonus for Pochettino's side.

CM: Eric Dier

Eric Dier

Is there a more versatile player in the Premier League than Eric Dier? The England international is one of Spurs' most reliable performers and has filled in at centre-back, right-back and central midfield already this season.

After starting at the back against Hull, we're tipping the 22-year-old to come back into the engine room alongside Victor Wanyama - a shield Burnley shouldn't be able to penetrate.

RM: Christian Eriksen

Danish international Eriksen has been the catalyst in Tottenham's turnaround this season. Five goals in four games have seen Spurs claim nine points during that time.

Against Burnley, Pochettino will want another goal from Eriksen. But, even more significantly, finding space to hurt Burnley and allow team-mates to score could be the difference in attempting to claim all three points.

CAM: Dele Alli

Not many players have the potential of Dele Alli, the young midfielder who has flourished since arriving at White Hart Lane at the start of last season.

Alli has struggled for consistency this season, but the 20-year-old's impressive partnership with Harry Kane has shown signs of recovery in recent weeks.

Another goal couldn't come at a better time for Spurs, having not found the net in the Premier League since October.

LM: Heung-Min Son

Heung-min Son

The Korean international struggles for consistency like many of his Tottenham team-mates.

Nonetheless, Son's energy, finesse and ability make him a natural choice to start against Burnley in place of Moussa Sissoko.

Son recently struck at home to Swansea and another White Hart Lane goal to add to the struggling Lancashire side's woes could ultimately separate the sides.

ST: Harry Kane

Tottenham's Harry Kane shoots at goal

On his day, there are not many better strikers in European football than Harry Kane.

Burnley remain one of two teams Kane has not scored against during his Spurs career and Sunday would be the ideal time to end that unflattering record.

His return to fitness was widely welcomed and he continues to devastate defences, just like before his injury in September, with eight goals in his last nine appearances across all competitions.
