Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Roma winger Cengiz Under, per Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness.

The Turkey international has emerged as a star of the future during his time in Italy and helped the club to a sixth-placed finish in Serie A this season.

Under scored six goals and laid on 11 assists in 2018-19 so should Spurs make a move? Football FanCast's writers give their verdict below!

Luke Glanville

"Under would be a great signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. Mauricio Pochettino only currently has Lucas Moura as an out-and-out right winger and little back-up in the position should he become unavailable for whatever reason. However, Spurs shouldn't make the rising star their priority target in this window. In terms of going after attackers, first, they need to find that elusive Harry Kane understudy."

Matt Dawson

"If Spurs were to sign Under then it would be a pretty shrewd move but you have to doubt whether he'd be able to cut it in the Premier League. At 21, he clearly still has plenty of time to develop but he hasn't exactly set the world alight in Serie A. As a result, I can't see him adjusting too well to the frantic nature of England's top-flight. It would certainly bolster Spurs' ranks in a wide area but their money is likely better off spent elsewhere. Under shouldn't be a priority."

James Beavis

"Yes, they should. The 21-year-old perhaps hasn't pulled up as many trees as may have been expected during his time with Roma, but he has done a solid enough job and is still only 21 years of age. The youngster has all of the attributes needed to be a top winger and can be far more effective than Erik Lamela ever has been for Spurs. This could be an exciting summer for Tottenham, and the promising Under would be a classic Pochettino signing."
