Spurs are flying in the Premier League and you’ve got to give Mauricio Pochettino’s side plenty of kudos with the new season now in full flow.

Whilst Leicester City have suffered a monumental loss in form following their Premier League victory last season, Spurs have put 2015/16 behind them.

Despite being pipped to the crown by the Foxes and slipping behind bitter rivals Arsenal, Spurs have come back even stronger this time around and now look like real contenders once again.

Even without Harry Kane, Spurs are scoring goals, keeping things tight at the back and playing well. It’s very much form that might see them competing come the end of the season.

And this weekend we see them take part in a particularly tricky game against Bournemouth, who are on a real high following their 6-1 mauling of Hull City last weekend.

So how should Pochettino line up his troops for this crunch fixture?

GK: Hugo Lloris

Hugo Lloris is Spurs' No.1 and only injury or a serious loss in form will stop that.

He’s consistent, reliable and a real leader on the pitch. One of the best 'keepers in the division.

RB: Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker

England international Kyle Walker is a player we all know and love but he’ll have to make sure he’s on his defensive 'A Game' against the Cherries.

We know he’s great going forward but in Bournemouth, Spurs will be coming up against players that can really score goals.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Another sturdy, safe figure in this Spurs defence is Jan Vertonghen, who has become quite the player since transferring to White Hart Lane back in 2012.

He's proved some of his early doubters seriously wrong and going forward, he looks to be one of the most important players in the Spurs back four.

CB: Eric Dier

Everyone's favourite England breakthrough star, Eric Dier has enjoyed an impressive couple of years which has seen him fly to the forefront of this Spurs first-team.

Whilst he's not played as much as he would have liked in the middle of the park this season due to the summer signing of Moussa Sissoko, an injury to Toby Alderweireld means he will be used as a centreback in the coming weeks.

He had a decent game in the 0-0 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the week and will hope to keep that form up against the Cherries.

LB: Kieran Trippier

He's had to bide his time at Spurs since his move from Burnley in 2015 but after an exceptional performance in the draw out in Germany, he could be set to start the game against Bournemouth.

Danny Rose left the game with a protective boot around his ankle which is good news for 26-year-old Trippier, who might have the chance at a first-team place for the immediate future, depending on the injury to his team-mate.

CDM: Victor Wanyama

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool - Premier League

Everyone's favourite Twitter star Victor Wanyama has enjoyed a red-hot start to his Spurs career, having joined the club from Southampton this summer.

As a holding midfielder, he's absolutely perfect. Big, strong and good in the tackle, the Kenyan international is the type of player every defender would love having in front of him, especially against a pacy forward line like Bournemouth's.

CDM: Moussa Sissoko

Another high-profile summer addition, it's not taken former Newcastle United man Moussa Sissoko much time at all to settle into life in London.

We know how good he is in the middle of the park when he's playing well and the Cherries might struggle to break through the barrier he and Wanyama put up so well.

RM: Erik Lamela

Lamela

He was desperately unlucky not to score in the game against Leverkusen, and this weekend Erik Lamela will be looking for a spot of retribution against the Cherries.

The Argentine as been good so far this campaign and continues to offer Spurs fantastic explosiveness, skill and quality on the flank.

LM: Christian Eriksen

Danish international Christian Eriksen has been absolutely fantastic since joining the club back in 2013 and many forget he's still only 24-years-old.

He's not the most natural wide option you'll ever see but his silky skills and ability to find his team-mates with relative ease make him just as effective as your traditional out-and-out wingers.

CAM: Dele Alli

Dele Alli

Like many young Englishmen in this Spurs set-up, Dele Alli has himself enjoyed a real rise to the top in recent months, and he'll be starting the game against the Cherries.

He bagged a crucial equaliser in last weekend's draw with West Brom at The Hawthorns and he'll be looking to add more goals to his game in the coming weeks.

Alli is a real threat and the Cherries must be on top form to keep him quiet.

ST: Vincent Janssen

Whilst the goal-shy forward hasn't started his Spurs career with as much verve as he would have liked, it's clear the former Ajax man very much remains a part of Pochettino's first-team plans.

The manager publicly backed his striker to deliver after the game against Leverkusen and we can only assume he'll give the Dutch forward another chance against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
