Tottenham Hotspur face Chelsea at the weekend in a game that could have a major bearing on the race for the top four.

If Spurs can beat the Blues at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they will climb into the top four at the expense of Frank Lampard’s side.

Since Jose Mourinho’s installation as manager, he has overseen four league wins, beating West Ham United, AFC Bournemouth, Burnley and, most recently, Wolves, though his side were beaten by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

This weekend, then, is key, particularly with Mourinho taking on his former employers, with whom he won two Premier League titles.

Football FanCast takes a look at the XI that Mourinho should select…

Paulo Gazzaniga is the undisputed No.1 while Hugo Lloris is injured.

In defence, Serge Aurier has been excellent at right-back, providing an assist against West Ham, and playing an integral role in four league victories.

Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez are the club’s best centre-back pairing at this point, allowing Jan Vertonghen to play at left-back, as he has done in four of Mourinho’s games in the top-flight.

Money talks: How much did Levy pay for each of these Spurs stars?

Eric Dier showed that he could be set to return to form in midfield with a fine performance against Wolves at Molineux and his ball-winning faculties will be needed against the Blues.

Partnering him with Moussa Sissoko, whose lung-busting runs from midfield could be key to stopping N’Golo Kante, makes sense, and means there is still no spot in the XI for Harry Winks.

Lucas Moura was in fine goalscoring fettle versus Wolves, slamming an excellent strike into the roof of Rui Patricio’s net, and his pace on the counter will be important.

The rest of the attacking trio is, at this point, immovable, with Dele Alli at No.10, Son Heung-Min on the left and Harry Kane through the middle.

Christian Eriksen will have to settle for a spot on the bench despite picking up the assist for Vertonghen's winning goal at Molineux.

In such an integral game, Mourinho will be hoping that they have their shooting boots on.

Meanwhile, one Spurs man's move to West Ham is set to be blocked.
