Barcelona defender Yerry Mina once again impressed and took his tally for the 2018 World Cup to three goals as he scored in Colombia’s last 16 defeat against England on Tuesday night, and many Tottenham Hotspur fans want to sign the 23-year-old.
The centre-back was certainly one of his country’s best performers in Russia despite struggling to make an impact with the La Liga giants having joined them during the January transfer window from Palmeiras.
However, he put in something of a dominant performance against the likes of Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling up top, before scoring with a header from a corner in injury time to take the game to penalty kicks.
These Tottenham supporters, others of whom want to sign a £9m World Cup wing wizard, were quick to have their say on Mina’s latest display alongside their own Davinson Sanchez, and while one said “Spurs should reunite Mina and Davinson next season”, another said “offer them Toby for Mina”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Spurs need to forget Barrios go for Mina or Dan Axel Zagadou who will be better than Mina at 6ft5 19

@MarcBenamram should Spurs think about changing the CB pairing? The other Columbian kid Mina looks nice so far this World Cup.
