EFL Cup: This Spurs XI will beat Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur’s October struggles continued this weekend as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Whilst Mauricio Pochettino’s men were decent value for their point, Spurs haven’t quite top gear in recent weeks compared to the blistering form we saw earlier on in the season.
They’ve scored only once in their last three games, which have all coincidentally ended in draws. It’s not a poor run of form by any means but the Spurs faithful will be hoping their team can turn it around sooner rather than later, in order to avoid falling into a rut.
But attention now turns to the EFL Cup, where Spurs travel to Liverpool on Tuesday evening. It’s a game both manager’s will want to win but one which also gives them a good opportunity to rest some key players whist giving others a chance.
With that in mind, Football FanCast have constructed an XI that, despite a number of changes, will steer Spurs past Liverpool and into the quarter finals.
