Three reasons Tottenham must sign out of favour Everton star Davy Klaassen
BBC Football says that along with teammates Niasse and Sandro Ramirez, the 24-year-old could be on his way out of Goodison Park before the January transfer window slams shut on January 31 having failed to make an impact following his £23.6m summer move from Ajax.
The Netherlands international struggled under former manager Ronald Koeman with his situation not improving under new boss Sam Allardyce, and he was left out of the squad altogether for the 2-1 defeat against arch-rivals Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup at Anfield last Friday.
The report adds that while the Merseyside outfit are willing to offload the Dutchman, they will likely want to recoup most of the fee they paid to sign him in June.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur still have plenty to play for this season as they look to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, progress in the FA Cup and beat Juventus in the knockout stages of the Champions League, and Mauricio Pochettino may well be looking to add some quality and depth to his squad this month.
The Argentine boss may want more competition in attacking areas following the departure of Georges-Kevin Nkoudou on loan to Burnley, and bringing Klaassen to Wembley could prove to be a shrewd move.
