Tottenham Hotspur boosted their chances of securing a third successive top-four finish in the Premier League when they beat arch-rivals Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley last Saturday.

Spurs were lying one point outside of the Champions League spots going into their clash against the Gunners, who were four points adrift, and their win against Arsene Wenger's men proved to be hugely important as Chelsea in fourth and Liverpool in third also won over duration of the weekend.

While Mauricio Pochettino's men didn't make up any ground on those two teams, they did close the gap to second-placed Manchester United to just four points after the Red Devils lost 1-0 against Newcastle United, and they are right in contention to replicate finishing as runners-up like they did last term.

The north London outfit certainly have plenty to play for in the remaining three months of the top flight campaign, and there are a number of their players whose futures with the club are in severe doubt right now, and they will be fighting hard to prove themselves to Pochettino in the coming weeks.

Here are three Tottenham players that have 11 Premier League matches left to save their Spurs careers…

Danny Rose

The England international had been Tottenham's undoubted first-choice left-back for a number of seasons following a number of impressive and consistent performances, but that has changed since he suffered a knee injury in January 2017.

Not only did the injury keep him on the sidelines until October, but his negative comments about the club to The Sun newspaper during the summer certainly didn't help his cause for winning back his spot in the starting XI straightaway on his return.

Ben Davies has been a more than able deputy over the course of the last 12 months or so, restricting Rose to just five Premier League starts since October, and with the club continuing to be linked with a move for Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon, the 27-year-old could be fighting for his Spurs future in the remaining 11 top flight fixtures.

Moussa Sissoko

While the Frenchman has been slightly improved this season after a disappointing debut campaign with Tottenham, he still seems to be way down the midfield pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino.

The 28-year-old has made 35 appearances in all competitions this term, although half of his 24 Premier League outings have come from the substitutes' bench and the majority of the rest came when Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama were struggling because of injury.

With Eric Dier and Harry Winks also able to play in the middle and plenty of attacking midfield options too, the France international could be fighting to save his Spurs career in the final 11 top flight fixtures, especially as reports in The Mirror in January suggested that they would sell him if they received an offer of around the £30m amount they paid to sign him from Newcastle in 2016.

Fernando Llorente

Tottenham sent Vincent Janssen out on a season-long loan to Turkish giants Fenerbahce following a disappointing debut campaign with the club, and they would have been hoping that his replacement Fernando Llorente was going to make a big impact following an impressive spell with Swansea City last term.

Despite scoring 15 goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the Welsh outfit, the 32-year-old was always going to be Harry Kane's back-up at Wembley and he has found it difficult to make a big impression with the majority of his 25 outings coming from the substitutes’ bench.

The Spaniard has only scored two goals in that time and even though his contract doesn't run out until 2019, he was linked with a move to Chelsea in January and he looks to be fighting to take his Spurs career beyond the end of this season as things stand right now.
