The Togolese striker appears to have slipped down the pecking order at Spurs this season, with new boss Mauricio Pochettino having turned to the energetic Harry Kane in recent weeks.
Adebayor is currently the Lilywhites’ top earner on a salary of around £100,000-per-week, but the Londoners are believed to be reluctant to keep him on beyond the end of next season – at which point his deal expires.
Reports suggest that they’ll listen to offers for the African ace, which has alerted El Jaish and Lekhwiya.
The pair play in the Qatar Stars League, and have big budgets to lure ‘professional players’ – who are on mega money contracts – to the Middle East, of which only three can be non-Asian.
Lekhwiya are managed by former Swansea coach Michael Laudrup and boast former Premier League players such as Vladimir Weiss and Chico Flores, while El Jaish are one of the nation’s more established clubs.
Adebayor may be tempted by the lucrative salary both teams are willing to offer, which has swayed a number of veteran players – including Spanish hero Raul – although the standard of football on offer could deter him.
Monaco are also keen, as are cash-rich sides in Russia.
