Tottenham have completed the £5million transfer of Milton Keynes Dons wonderkid Dele Alli, beating Newcastle United to his signature, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Spurs won the race to sign the youngster late on yesterday’s transfer deadline day, announcing his arrival via their officialTwitter feed.
The Englishman passed a medical an hour after the transfer deadline, however the deal was announced at 11pm on Monday.
Alli penned a five-and-a-half year contract with the White Hart Lane club, but will be loaned back to the Dons for the remainder of the season.
Despite only being 18-years-old, the midfielder has made 76 first-team appearances for the League One club, with his incredible performance against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup a particular highlight.
Alli has played 32 games this season, scoring 12 goals and supplying three assists.
