Gareth Bale will stay at Spurs if they secure a top-four finish, according to manager Andre Villas-Boas.
The likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all been linked with the Welsh winger but Villas-Boas remains confident Bale will not leave White Hart Lane.
Bale signed a new long-term deal last summer and Spurs have reportedly placed a price tag of £80million on his head to warn off any potential suitors.
Spurs will secure a top-four finish if they win all their remaining games and Villas-Boas claims he has been assured that Bale won’t be sold if his side qualify for next season’s Champions League.
“That’s the information that I have from the club,” he said. “The club is committed to keeping the best assets. That’s the only way that we can ensure that we are in the top four every year.
“Gareth is part of that project bearing in mind that he has been amazing this season. Hopefully we can develop him to a greater extent.”
