Redknapp has already signed two players from his former employees on loan, with Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Tom Carroll already swapping White Hart Lane for Loftus Road.
And Redknapp hopes to make it a hat trick by submitting an offer for England under-21 forward Kane.
Redknapp has doubts over the fitness of strikers Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora, and failed with an attempt to bring Kane in on deadline day.
But with the loan window still open for Football League clubs, the QPR boss hasn’t given up hope of completing the signing.
“I was going to take Harry on the deadline. I was going to take him that night when AJ looked like he was going to Palace,” Redknapp said.
“Now, I don’t know. Harry’s probably the third choice at Spurs now. Whether they’ll still loan him, I don’t know. They might do.
“Andy Johnson missed all of last season – is he going to stay fit? Bobby Zamora’s had problems too.
“That is the only area. Everywhere else I’m very happy with.”
Kane is likely to find first team football hard to come by at White Hart Lane, with Jermain Defoe, Emmanuel Adebayor and £26million signing Roberto Soldado all currently ahead of him in the pecking order.
