The 18-year-old is thought to have emerged as a top summer transfer target for manager Andre Villas-Boas, after a string of impressive performances since breaking into the Real Betis first team in December.
Villas-Boas is currently having to wheel and deal somewhat, with chairman Daniel Levy demanding his boss sell players before purchasing new ones.
Vadillo could be seen as a potential replacement for Gareth Bale, who’s future at the club is still not certain.
The Welshman’s future has been the topic of constant speculation since the end of the season, with Real Madrid reportedly plotting a record breaking bid for his services. All the noises coming out of White Hart Lane suggest Bale will stay for another season at least, but Spurs are still planning for a future without their star man.
Vadillo may be considered as a long term replacement, and although only 18-years-of-age, Villas-Boas is keen to act quickly in order prevent the winger gaining more admirers over the coming season.
Spurs have brought in Brazilian midfielder Paulinho so far this summer, and are thought to be close to submitting a bid for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, although the move is dependant on whether the club can find a buyer for Emmanuel Adebayor.
