Tottenham eye Spanish youngster

Real Madrid youngster Jese

Tottenham Hotspur are looking at Real Madrid winger Jese, according to The Daily Star.

The 20-year-old had a stunning season with Madrid’s B team last season, scoring 22 league goals.

Spurs are interested in bringing the winger to the Premier League, as they look to bolster their options out wide. Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon are the club’s only true wingers, and Jese would provide cover for the speedy duo.

Jese brought his league form to the Spain Under-20 side, as he scored five goals from his five appearances in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Spain were knocked out by Uruguay in the quarter finals of the tournament.

The winger is under contract with the Spanish capital side until June 2014, but is concerned about his first team chances at Madrid.

“I want to play and I don’t know if I will get many minutes in the Real first team,” Jese said.
Tottenham are monitoring the youngster, who is valued at £10million. But with a bright future ahead of him, Andre Villas-Boas could be prepared to pay that price to bring Jese to White Hart Lane.Real Madrid are still interested in signing Gareth Bale this summer, with Spurs still unwilling to sell the Welshman. Madrid are reportedly prepared to bid £85million for the winger.Would Jese do well in the Premier League? Should Spurs sign him now before his price tag rises?
