Tottenham eyeing deal for Eredivisie sensation

Tottenham are interested in a January deal for Feyenoord winger Jean-Paul Boetius, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old wide-man is already a regular in the Rotterdam giants’ first-team despite his age and has represented the Netherlands at senior international level – albeit on one occasions.

Reports suggest that Spurs scouts have been watching the youngster this season, with a move before the looming transfer deadline a distinct possibility.

Boetius has netted five goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season, including one in the Europa League.

The Eredivisie has proven to be a happy hunting ground in terms of transfer for the Lilywhites in recent years, with Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen having both performed well in the division before relocating to north London.

However, issues surrounding offloading unwanted players is an issue for manager Mauricio Pochettino, with clearing space for additions key at the club.
