Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to some comments from Mauricio Pochettino, and they’re not happy with the pre-Barcelona excuses.

Tottenham have recovered from their early season wobble, but there are still some worrying signs for the North Londoners.

Pochettino lost three games in charge of Spurs for the first team with defeats to Watford, Inter Milan and Liverpool, and the injuries are stacking up.

Hugo Lloris is fit again, but Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will all miss Wednesday night’s epic clash against Barcelona.

Tottenham of course signed zero players this summer, and Pochettino doesn’t sound too happy about the size of his squad.

“The circumstances this season are so tough,” said Pochettino.

“Look what is going to happen in the Carabao Cup. We are going to play Monday in Wembley against Manchester City and then we must play on Wednesday or Thursday, and then we must play Saturday and Tuesday in the Champions League.

“That is completely unfair for a team that wants to win some titles.”

While the manager does have a point, the same could be said for most of the big teams around Europe, so fans aren’t happy with the comments.

Whether it was all Daniel Levy, all Pochettino or a bit of both that decided not to sign anyone this summer is anyone’s guess, but fans are not impressed by their manager’s verdict.
