Tottenham fans blast Eric Dier performance

Tottenham Hotspur’s four-game winning run in the Premier League came to an end on Monday night, with Manchester City beating Mauricio Pochettino’s team in London.

The only goal of the match was scored by Riyad Mahrez in the first period, and Erik Lamela missed Tottenham’s best chance in the second half.

Tottenham remain in fifth position in the Premier League table, and now face a tough trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and also have Chelsea and Arsenal to come over the next few weeks.

It was a disappointing night for Tottenham, and their supporters were once again frustrated by the performance of Eric Dier.

It is not the first time that Dier has been criticised by the Tottenham fans, and the former Sporting Lisbon youngster – on £70,000 a week – did find it difficult to get near a number of City players during his 67 minutes on the field.

Pochettino is clearly a huge fan of Dier, but the Tottenham supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated by the midfielder’s form.
