Tottenham Hotspur conceded twice in the latter stages of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Inter Milan to lose 2-1 at the San Siro.

Christian Eriksen's effort early in the second period looked to be sending Tottenham to a huge three points in their opening match of the section.

However, Mauro Icardi levelled the scores in the 86th minute before Matias Vecino secured all three points for the home side in the 92nd minute of action.

It was a bitter blow for Tottenham, and it does not get any easier in Group B as their next clash in the section is against Spanish giants Barcelona.

There has been a lot of talk surrounding the fitness of Harry Kane in recent days, and the striker again struggled to make his mark in Italy.

The 6ft 2in ace looked tired whilst representing England on the international break, and that was again the case at the weekend as Tottenham lost 2-1 to Liverpool.

The Spurs fans were unhappy with Kane's performance against Inter, and feel that now is the right time for the centre-forward - substituted late on in Milan - to be rested.
