Vincent Janssen's ordeal at Tottenham looks as though it could finally be about to come to an end this summer.

Football London understands that his move to Mexican club Monterrey should be completed in the coming days, therefore ending his wretched stay in north London.

Since signing for Spurs, the Dutchman has scored just two goals in the Premier League and as such, news of his possible departure provoked a mixed reaction on Twitter.

One supporter hinted that it was a shame that things didn't work out whilst another said they should have terminated his contract earlier.

Another fan said he'd wasted his best years at the club but wished him well for the future. Meanwhile, one individual claimed that the Dutchman would always be a good finisher.

The response was perhaps surprisingly tame for someone who never hit the ground running at Spurs, being subjected to a huge lack of game time whilst under the stewardship of Mauricio Pochettino.

Last season he played just 36 minutes of top-flight football, making two appearances in Premier League 2 as well.

Here's the best of the debate on Twitter.
