Borussia Dortmund will be without the services of Marco Reus for the first leg of their last-16 Champions League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

Dortmund official Sebastian Kehl has ruled the attacker out of action, with a thigh problem meaning that the attacker will be unable to feature.

Reus has been in excellent form for Dortmund this season, finding the back of the net on 17 occasions in 27 appearances in all competitions.

The 29-year-old has 13 goals and nine assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances, although he only struck once in the group stage of the Champions League.

The Tottenham fans have been on social media reacting to the news and it would certainly be fair to say that a large number are absolutely delighted.

Spurs will certainly be looking to secure a first-leg advantage at Wembley ahead of a difficult clash in Dortmund early next month.
