It is funny how quickly things can change, particularly in football.
To be honest, Moussa Sissoko had become a bit of a joke figure at Tottenham Hotspur, with many of the club’s supporters criticising his every movement.
That criticism was present as recent as this season, but Sissoko appears to have changed the minds of the supporters with his form in recent months.
Indeed, the 55-time France international has been a constant in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI since the start of October.
Sissoko’s latest impressive performance helped Tottenham record a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
And the midfielder has revealed that he never let his head drop when he was going through a difficult period at Tottenham.
Playmaker FC’s Theo Ogden was at Wembley to witness Spurs’ dramatic second half comeback against PSV. Watch the drama unfold in the video below…
The Tottenham fans have since taken to social media to praise the 29-year-old, with many accepting that they got it wrong when criticising the Frenchman.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the club’s supporters can be seen below:
Like with Rose, maybe some of our fans will realise abusing your own players constantly isn’t really a good idea. Doubt it though.
