Tottenham fans delighted with Vorm contribution after vital saves vs Swansea

Tottenham Hotspur have booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the second successive season after a comfortable 3-0 win away to Swansea City on Saturday.

A double from Christian Eriksen and an Erik Lamela strike were enough to give them the victory on an afternoon they were rarely threatened by Carlos Carvalhal’s side.

Two down at the break, the Swans needed inspiration in the second half and started brightly after the interval, going close to scoring with a double effort on goal that may have changed the game.

However, deputy goalkeeper Michel Vorm produced the goods, initially saving smartly from Martin Olsson’s fierce drive then immediately denying Tammy Abraham on the follow-up.

It was a contribution that delighted Spurs fans, with many believing it was a pivotal moment in the tie.

Vorm is always going to have chances limited at the club due to Hugo Lloris’ presence, but supporters were impressed that he managed to do the job when called upon.
