Tottenham Hotspur fans are desperate for Moussa Sissoko to return to fitness soon.

The midfielder was substituted during the club's crazy aggregate Champions League win over Manchester City on Wednesday evening after sustaining a groin injury.

Fernando Llorente was introduced as his replacement, with Dele Alli dropping into a deeper role, and the Spaniard went on to score the decisive goal, diverting the ball into the net with his hip. Replays showed that the ball may have hit his elbow but a VAR review allowed it to stand.

With Sissoko off the pitch, Spurs somehow managed to hold out, though they were again indebted to a VAR review which ruled out Raheem Sterling's injury-time 'winner'.

However, Sissoko has been a key member of Mauricio Pochettino's squad this season, making 39 appearances in all competitions.

With a Premier League clash with City looming this weekend, along with the two-legged semi-final against Ajax to think about, supporters have urged the Frenchman to make a quick recovery.
