Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-1 defeat at Inter Milan in their 2018-19 Champions League opener on Tuesday night.

Tottenham led at the San Siro through Christian Eriksen, but Mauro Icardi levelled the scores late on before Matias Vecino came up with a winner in stoppage time.

Spurs have now lost their last three games in all competitions, and a number of the club's players - including Eric Dier - have been heavily criticised.

Victor Wanyama has only played once this season as he looks to overcome a host of injury problems.

It seems that the 27-year-old is now ready for a run of matches though. He was on the bench against Inter, but failed to feature.

And a number of Tottenham supporters have have shown their frustration on social media.

There is no question that Wanyama is a very good footballer when fit and firing, and the Spurs fans want the 6ft ace in the team for Saturday's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
