According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur will step up their interest in Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial next week.
Martial was left out of the France squad for the 2018 World Cup following a frustrating end to the 2017-18 campaign.
The 22-year-old scored 11 times and registered nine assists in 45 appearances for United last term, but struggled for starts following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January.
Martial’s future with the Red Devils is believed to be far from secure, with head coach Jose Mourinho said to be prepared to sell the attacker this summer.
Tottenham have been linked with the Frenchman over the last few weeks, and according to the Daily Mail, the London club are now looking to step up their interest.
United paid Monaco an initial £38m for Martial, but the attacker’s transfer figure could eventually rise to £58m with various add-ons.
Tottenham will have to come up with a huge offer to convince United to sell in this summer’s transfer window, and the Spurs supporters are not confident that the deal will take place.
