Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious with England boss Gareth Southgate for introducing Harry Kane as a substitute in Tuesday's international friendly with Switzerland.

Kane scored 41 times in all competitions for Tottenham last season before netting six goals at the 2018 World Cup to claim the Golden Boot.

Kane has also registered twice in four Premier League appearances this term, but it would be fair to say that the 25-year-old's performances have been a bit off.

That was also the case against Spain on Saturday night, and again in the clash with Switzerland, which England won courtesy of a strike from Marcus Rashford.

Tottenham need Kane to be fit and firing for Saturday's Premier League clash with Liverpool as well a trip to Milan on Tuesday that 888sport have Spurs at 7/4 to win, and many are unhappy that their star man came on against Switzerland.

Kane has not really had a serious break since 2015, and it will be very interesting to see what kind of shape the England captain is in this weekend.
