Tottenham fans are absolutely furious with chairman Daniel Levy, after Mauricio Pochettino hinted he could leave the club.
It’s been a pretty terrible week for Spurs fans. The North Londoners were comfortably beaten by Manchester City at Wembley last weekend, and City’s neighbours followed suit on Saturday in the FA Cup.
Those two results came either side of a drab draw at Brighton, and all of a sudden the life and optimism that has emanated from Tottenham since Pochettino’s arrival seems to have disappeared.
Despite their improvement in recent seasons, fans have still been annoyed by their rather frugal activity in the transfer market, with the failure to find adequate support for Harry Kane surely the biggest issue right now.
Pochettino’s side fell short of yet another trophy on Saturday as Manchester United moved on to the final, and the 46 year-old appears to have hinted he could leave the club.
“Tottenham need more time, of course with me or another, but I think it’s so important to keep going, focusing on working and developing that philosophy which is fantastic for the club,” he said.
Of course, the manager could be thinking way down the line here, but the words “with me or another” have still concerned fans, and plenty are taking their anger out on Levy.

I'm heartbroken after yesterday but losing Poch would be a disaster and set us back again.

Did you read the piece where he said the transfer market now closing early will now greatly benefit the club and the team. I felt that was a dig at Levy and rightly so. The Chairman does not help the manager one bit.

That’s what I believe. A sound coach, given the freedom to implement his philosophy, but can only go so far with restraints from above. Just being realistic.

People send me abuse and harass me on the way I criticise Levy.
What people fail to understand is he has been the constant for the past years, under Harry he never backed him to push. Same is happening now with Poch losing players cos Levy won’t pay them. Wake up people #COYS

Those who accept Levy and believe he’s brilliant have got what they deserve!
Another trophyless season!
Kane off form and no realistic replacement for him as Levy took the cheap option as usual!
A tactic that has always hurt us
Not to mention no Alderweireld! #LevyOut

I woke up this morning feeling sad, hurt and worried.
Sad for the club. Sad for the players.
Hurt for us fans, it's another big loss.
Worried about the months ahead.
Who will stay??
Will Levy & Poch fix underlying issues

It’s probably been said already but where do we go from here?
Awful game yesterday but you feel we’ve gone as far as we can on the budget we have.
Serious investment needed from Levy, especially considering the inevitable departures. Poch is good, but he isn’t magic. #thfc

For us to genuinely put ourselves in the position to actually win something, either Levy or Poch need to change.
Levy’s transfer policy is good enough to get us flirting with top four and being more competitive, but we lack experience at the highest level, needed to win.
