Loads of Tottenham fans have been giving their verdict on the defeat to Watford, and they’re really not happy with the performance of fan favourite Mousa Dembele.
After putting themselves firmly in everyone’s title race predictions at Old Trafford, Tottenham were stunned at Vicarage Road on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side looked to be continuing their perfect Premier League start when they went 1-0 up in the second half, but it was all undone in seven mad minutes as goals from Troy Deeney and Craig Cathcart gave the Hornets all three points.
In truth, there weren’t many Spurs players that played well, but Dembele was particularly bad, and fans are worried that he’s showing his age.

The fan favourite midfielder was expected to leave during the summer window as he enters the last 12 months of his contract, and he perhaps would have done if the deal for Jack Grealish had gone through as expected.
After a solid performance at Old Trafford on Monday he was terrible on Sunday, completing just 79 per cent of his passes, making just one tackle, and picking up a yellow card.
Loads of fans have been bashing the 31 year-old, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Can’t hold a ball, or pass. Gave away the ball twice in the lead up to their first goal

He’s past it. Also if Llorente is a footballer, I’m a banana!

His strength is a myth

Dembele is finished at this level. No more zip, hardly any momentum going forward. There is no way anyone can tell me that there are no midfield players in the world that wouldn’t get in ahead of him and within our budget.

Evident today how valuable Eric Dier is to us, especially against a physical side like Watford. Dembele cannot play on his own at the single DM #THFC
