Rafael van der Vaart represented Tottenham Hotspur between 2010 and 2012, and scored 28 goals in 77 appearances for the Premier League club in all competitions.

The attacker started his professional career at Ajax, before representing Hamburger SV and Real Madrid ahead of a move to Tottenham in the summer of 2010.

Van der Vaart only spent two years with the London club before returning to Hamburg, and has since turned out for Real Betis and FC Midtjylland ahead of a move to Danish outfit Esbjerg last month.

There is a general feeling that Van der Vaart did not stay at Tottenham for long enough.

The former Netherlands international netted 24 Premier League goals during his time at the club, and certainly made a positive impression on the supporters.

Van der Vaart recently posted a message on social media regarding his time at Tottenham, and as expected, the club's supporters were on hand to hail the attacker.
