Ben Davies has taken his fair share of criticism from the Tottenham Hotspur fans this season.
Indeed, there are many who feel that the 25-year-old – whilst being a good player – is not quite at the level required for a team of Tottenham’s ilk.
There was more of a mixed reaction to his performance against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday night, however, with some paying tribute to the Welshman, whilst others were critical once again.
Davies had some dodgy defensive moments, but the 5ft 11in ace did provide the cross that saw Harry Kane head Tottenham into a 2-1 lead in the 89th minute of the contest.
The three points means that Tottenham are still very much alive in the Champions League, although they have two more tough matches at home to Inter Milan and away to Barcelona as they bid to book their spot in the next round.
A selection of the Twitter reaction to Davies’ performance, which was mixed to say the very least, can be seen below:

Unpopular opinion: Ben Davies is a solid fullback/decent player. Doesn’t deserve as much criticism as he gets. #thfc
