According to the Daily Mirror, Bayern Munich are hoping to sign Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld this month, and Spurs fans on Twitter were fuming that the club had failed to sign a replacement in the Premier League transfer window.
The window to register new players in England ended before the start of the season for the first time ever this summer and Spurs became the first top flight team to make no signings in a summer window since the system’s introduction in 2003.
Alderweireld was long linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, but a switch to Old Trafford never materialised. Now it looks as though boss Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy are keen to sell before a release clause of £25m becomes active next summer.
The Mirror also reports that Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing Bayern defender Jerome Boateng, and that 29-year-old Alderweireld would be the German’s replacement. Check out how Spurs fans on Twitter reacted to the rumour below.
Laughing stock! And rose might go, much weaker than last season and seems to happen year on year! No signings and stadium up the wall! Not up for this season now! Unless we keep them until January and buy then

If we sell now without a replacement we might as well just give up…..

If he’s gonna go, might as well be to a non-prem club
