Tottenham Hotspur have seemingly suffered a huge blow in their attempts to sign Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha in this summer's transfer window.

Spurs have been strongly linked with the 25-year-old throughout the summer, but it is understood that Chelsea are now in the driving seat.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson told talkSPORT on Friday that Zaha has not asked to leave Selhurst Park ahead of the closing of the transfer window next week.

However, it is thought that the attacker will move on before Thursday's deadline.

Zaha scored nine Premier League goals for Palace last season, and was seemingly viewed by Tottenham as the perfect summer arrival.

Chelsea, however, are now the favourites to sign the former Manchester United attacker - as covered by Sky Sports.

The Tottenham fans have been reacting to the latest reports surrounding Zaha's future, and it would be fair to say that frustration was present.
