It's safe to say that Moussa Sissoko has done nothing to convince Tottenham fans or the media of his talents this season.

Despite a number of ineffective performances for Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino seems happy to keep faith in the Frenchman, who is valued at £18 million by Transfermarkt, playing him with surprising regularity.

And it seems that Pochettino is not the only manager with a soft spot for Sissoko.

In an interview with broadcaster SFR Sport, France manager Didier Deschamps explained that the 28-year-old is 'feared by opponents' stating;

“I like Moussa Sissoko. He is not my ‘favourite’, I appreciate what he does. Moussa, he is the prototype of a soldier. He was the soldier of Casanova at Toulouse, he is Pochettino's solider at Tottenham, even if it was more complicated at the start.”
