Loads of Tottenham fans have been giving their verdict on some comments from Son Heung-min, after the fan favourite insisted his side are still in the title race.

For all the talk of Manchester City’s defeat at Newcastle and Liverpool’s setback at home to Leicester, there seems to be hardly any focus on Spurs as a title contender since the defeat to Wolves.

And yet, the Lilywhites will move above Manchester City if they win the early kick-off on Saturday, and could potentially end the weekend in second place just four points behind Liverpool if results go their way.

Injuries, combined with the fact that the club has now gone two successive transfer windows without signing a single player, will certainly make it difficult, but Son is not giving up hope.

“I don't care that people are saying Liverpool or Man City,” Son said when asked about the title race. “We are still there, we're going for it.

“We'll see what is going to happen at the end of the season. They're very good sides like us. We have to just focus on ourselves. Every single game, get three points, that's most important. The season is still long.”

It is exactly this passion and ambition for the club that makes Son so loved by the fans, but there certainly seems to be an element of tempting fate to these comments.
