Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club was linked with a move for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter, with north London rivals Arsenal also taking an interest in the player according to Sky Sports.

The German international, who has 23 caps for the national team, was reportedly on Spurs' radar before joining Monchengladbach from Borussia Dortmund back in 2017.

Ginter could potentially be a replacement for Toby Alderweireld as, despite recently triggering a one-year extension in the Belgian's contract, the 29-year-old has a clause that allows him to leave for £25m in the summer, as per Sky Sports - a player of his quality will surely attract a whole host of interest for a fee that low.
