Loads of Tottenham fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news, as reports claim they are closely monitoring Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen.

According to reports in Italy, two Sampdoria officials flew to North London recently to discuss a transfer for Andersen.

The report claims both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested, in what could become a North London derby for the young defender’s signature.

Ian Broomfield, a Tottenham scout, reportedly met with the Italian club while an Arsenal official watched Andersen in action in a recent 4-1 loss to Torino.

The Danish centre back is only 22, but has become one of the first names on the teamsheet for the Serie A outfit.

He is winning two aerial duels and 1.2 tackles per game this season, while also making 1.3 interceptions and 4.2 clearances per game.

The youngster is incredibly calm and composed on the ball, and could perhaps be seen as a long-term replacement for Tottenham’s Belgian centre backs, both of whom will be in their thirties by next summer.
