Reports claim Tottenham are rivalling Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for the signing of Benjamin Pavard, and fans would absolutely love to sign the World Cup star.
There have been more than a few breakout stars at this World Cup. Senegal’s Ismaila Sarr looks like some player, Mexico’s Hirving Lozano is surely due a big move, and Russia’s very own Aleksandr Golovin has lived up to the hype.
Not many players have shone quite as bright as Pavard though, who after a difficult opening game has shown incredible grit to star in every match since.
Now, Corriere Dello Sport claim Spurs are one of three clubs to have made an offer for the youngster, and fans are loving it.
The 22 year-old, valued at £27m by Transfermarkt, plays as a centre back for Stuttgart, but has excelled at right back for France. You’d be hard pushed to find a better passer of the ball out from the back, and his incredible goal against Argentina made everyone sit up and take notice.
The versatile youngster could be the perfect man to operate on the right of a three-man defence for Mauricio Pochettino, and plenty of fans are excited by the idea.

He looks very good but I can only assume this would make sense if serge was to move on… tripper is arguably now one of the worlds best right backs and is nailed on number 1!!

Agreed. His efforts at #WorldCup have shown that he would be brilliant as the RCB in a back three for Spurs. But only if Toby does leave. Wouldn’t mind signing him and loaning him back if we hold on to Toby.
